    COMPANY PROFILE

    HOLLY HUNT is a sales and service organization, as well as designer and maker of high-end interior design furniture, lighting, textiles, leather, and rugs. HOLLY HUNT’S “to the trade” customers are interior designers and architects. 85 to 90 percent of business revenue is generated from residential purchases, while 10 to 15 percent is generated from contract, corporate or hospitality purchases.

     

    JOB SUMMARY 

    The Business Analyst is responsible for evaluating and performing comprehensive analyses on business processes, systems and procedures to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness. The analyst will be required to champion and deploy best practices, business and process improvement methodologies and tool sets across the organization, and to build internal process improvement capability through knowledge sharing and coaching.

     

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Act as thought leader, change agent and process improvement subject matter expert, providing coaching, mentoring, and training to staff on process improvement methodologies and tools. Simplification, standardization and automation are key measures of success in this role.
    • Challenge stakeholders to maximize opportunities for process improvement initiatives.
    • Promote a continuous improvement culture across the business.
    • Collaborate with individuals across processes, facilities, locations, business units at all levels (staff to executive) to gain an understanding of business objectives, define measurement solutions and implement business processes and techniques that drive performance.
    • Coach and support project team members on the use of best practices, process improvement and project management tools and methodology.
    • Lead process improvement initiatives within business units and in conjunction with appropriate parties (suppliers, operations, customers) to deliver efficiencies and benefits to internal and external constituents.
    • Develop initiatives that track process adherence and performance to improvement plans. This includes, but is not limited to, the implementation of KPIs, service level agreements (SLAs) and dashboards to monitor process and drive accountability.
    • Oversee projects from initial research and assessment through transition to the management team for business performance improvement.
    • Establishes appropriate controls after a project is complete to ensure business results are realized and maintained going forward.
    • Present findings and recommendations with confidence communicating these to sponsors and key stakeholders.
    • Manage project team members throughout project and as changes occur.  Support and work collaboratively with other Process Improvement Analysts as needed.
    • Manage team dynamics to optimize results, engage participants, develop team members and foster collaboration.
    • Work closely with business and IT to accurately and efficiently document requirements and specification suitable for technical development, including reporting, system, organizational and process requirements
    • Work closely with the design, development and QA teams to ensure that solutions are built to specification and delivered on time.

    Required Skills

    • Bachelor’s degree required, operations management, business management, or related field preferred

    Required Experience

    • Strong combined business process and IT acumen
    • 3+ years experience using business process improvement methodologies (i.e. Six Sigma Methodology, Lean Thinking, Process Mapping, etc.).
    • 3+ years experience in business operations, with best practice understanding across areas of inventory management, supply chain, customer service, warehouse management, purchasing & procurement, and manufacturing
    • 3+ years experience implementing or improving ERP, Reporting, KPI and Business intelligence
    • Experience in the following areas: Business Process Modeling, Analysis and Design, Project/ Program Management
    • Strong communication skills, including communication with multiple levels in the organization and ability to think from an end user’s perspective
    • Six Sigma Yellow Belt or similar experience preferred 
    • Statistics: SPSS, SQL, Minitab, SAS, R+
    • Flow charting: Visio
    • Database: SQL Server, Access
