    The Senior Reliability Manager is a critical role responsible for driving consistency, complying with standards, and for achieving 100% uptime across DLR’s EU Data Centre portfolio.  As the Senior Reliability Manager, you will also be an escalation point for the onsite engineers, assisting with troubleshooting of incidents, and determining Root Cause Analysis.  You will develop, utilise and improve upon existing tools to measure, audit and report on the operational performance of all Data Centre facilities.  You will achieve demonstrable improvement in the consistency and excellence with regards to reliability, operational efficiency, and incident management across the portfolio.

     

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop and implement operational audits to be utilised for all sites, with a focus on assessing the excellence of the operation and identifying deficiencies. Work with site teams to develop plans to address deficiencies and improve upon audit performance.

    • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Methods of Procedure (MOPs) for adherence to company standards, with a focus on accuracy, comprehensiveness, and continual improvement to ensure 100% uptime.

    • Drive consistency, standardisation and improvement of the operation of the MEPFP systems throughout the portfolio.

    • Develop metrics to continually monitor the performance of the sites and develop performance reports to leadership.

    • Be a point of escalation and provide guidance and direction to the site teams during incidents/events affecting site operation and drive resolution fixes across the portfolio.

    • Coordinate with other Reliability Managers in the company to identify trends in equipment failures and/or site operational issues. Review and analyse information from software systems such as CMMS, BMS, and DCIM.

    • Develop and distribute technical bulletins and new standards to Operations teams. Review and revise existing standards as required in partnership with the leadership of the Operations team.

    • Evaluate the technical skills and abilities of the site Operations teams, provide recommendations, and support in the development of training programs.

    • Regularly meet with site Operations teams to review status of technical projects and major activities.

    • Partner with site Operations teams on all construction projects to ensure successful delivery.

    • Be a resource for Sales Engineering in connection with planning and leasing activity in the Region.

    • Review engineering drawings and documents on new construction and capital upgrade projects to ensure compliance with company standards. Identify any vulnerabilities and deficiencies in the design and resolve any issues in partnership with the Design and Construction teams.

    • Work with site Property Operations teams to assess and prioritize MEPFP operational needs and issues.

    • Partner with Property Operations to identify deficiencies and remediation plans including the development of a multi-year infrastructure upgrade program for each site.

    • Assist in the development of capital and operational budgets including the development of cost estimates for infrastructure improvements and upgrades.

    • Extensive experience in the design of Data Centre or Critical Facilities. Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering preferred.

    • Demonstrated expertise in design and/or operation of critical MEP infrastructure, including multiple types of Uninterruptible Power Systems, Emergency Power Systems, water-cooled and air-cooled air conditioning systems, critical data centre electrical and mechanical distribution systems, and monitoring systems.

    • Demonstrated understanding of various redundancy configurations of critical infrastructure and their associated limitations.

    • Demonstrated expertise in the operations, maintenance, engineering, construction, and delivery of mission critical facilities.

    • Ability to analyse and assess problems affecting critical operation of facilities, and propose solutions, at times with limited information.

    • Ability to assess critical operations from a high level and develop solutions. Provide oversight, guidance and expertise without micro-management.

    • Ability to effectively synthesize issues or incidents affecting operations to both management and customers.

    • Ability to comprehend, analyse and interpret complex project documents and to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

    • Competent in the use of software products including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, AutoCad, and Visio. Knowledge of monitoring, control, and maintenance management systems.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to present and communicate to internal and external customers.
    • Travel to sites throughout the EU portfolio is required.
    • The role requires a high level of commitment to customer service, whether co-workers or clients.
