    Working Title 2019 Dining Service Associate Temporary Pool Department Human Resources-0821 Requisition Number S_190003 Posting Open Date 01/02/2019 Application Review Date: (To ensure consideration, please submit all application materials before review date) Posting Close Date 12/31/2019 Open Until Filled Yes Description of Work Position performs tasks in multiple areas/functions in Dining Services, such as setting up and closing down stations, cooking, re-stocking, recipe/ingredient preparation, inventory, dish machine operation, and cleaning. Responsibilities include cost and waste control, food presentation, monitoring food quality (temperature, taste, and appearance), training, and providing excellent customer service. Operates the computer for some training, email, ESS , and other related tasks. Perform other duties as assigned. Temporary employees may be appointed for a period of up to two years. Those appointed for more than six months are eligible for benefits from the beginning of the appointment, provided the position is half-time (.50FTE) or greater. Those appointed for six months or less are not eligible for benefits. Benefits for eligible temporary employees include the following: health, dental, and life insurance, sick and vacation leave, injury leave, civil leave, and military leave. Ability to read, write, weigh and measure necessary. Flexibility, ability to communicate and being a team player essential. Food Handlers permit or ability to obtain by passing the Safety and Sanitation test required. Ability to lift up to 50lbs and push/pull up to 100lbs required.
