OKSA Program Development Specialist: TULSA CAMPUS The National Resource Center for Youth Services (NRCYS) at the University of Oklahoma - OUTREACH has been improving the effectiveness of human services for more than 40 years, providing training and technical assistance to programs in Oklahoma and nationally. Specializing in training, consultation and direct service, NRCYS is a leader in youth service philosophy best practices and youth engagement. The Program Development Specialist is primarily responsible for statewide events, training, and activities for youth workers, young adults in out-of- home care, and young adults who have exited care, in order to improve outcomes. Additionally, this position will be involved in specialized training, curriculum design, material development, training implementation, evaluation, and reporting. This position requires knowledge and skills in the areas of youth development, training, community resources, and experience in transition planning with youth in foster care. This position provides training and technical assistance to professionals on policy, procedure, and independent living (IL) best practice, in accordance with the Oklahoma Successful Adulthood (OKSA) program contract between NRCYS and the Oklahoma Department of Human Services/Child Welfare Services (DHS/CWS) OKSA program. Our Program Development Specialist must be able to build trust, value others, drive execution, focus on the customer, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively, and demonstrate high integrity; must be able to maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet departmental core values; and must pro actively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support departments. Representative duties: 1. Train: Coordinate, develop, deliver, and evaluate competency-based training on child welfare and related topical areas. Training delivery to include classroom, conference, experiential, and online learning formats. 2. Content and Curriculum Development: Curriculum design and development for adult learners. 3. Collect Data, Analyze, and Disseminate Information: Manage data collection, as well as analyze, organize, and disseminate data and information to inform training and technical delivery for training program enhancement. Also, gather information via observation, surveys, and policy review to inform programmatic recommendations and service delivery. 4. Technical Assistance: Coordinate and deliver technical assistance to the OKDHS departments and community partners. 5. Collaboration: Identify and establish ongoing professional relationships with key stakeholders to develop, implement, and support the Oklahoma Successful Adulthood Program. Actively serve as a member of the agency and OKSA collaborative team. Actively engage in activities to support the mission and core values of NRCYS. 6. Reporting: Write required project reports, event write ups, articles, workshop descriptions, etc. 7. Documentation: Submit service documentation on OKDHS and OKSA data management systems. 8. Travel: State travel will be required and national travel as needed. 9. As Needed: Perform other job related duties as required or assigned to successfully fulfill function of the position. Required Education: * Bachelors degree _Required Experience and Knowledge: _ * 24 months youth services or child welfare experience * Demonstrated understanding of positive youth development and youth engagement strategies, permanent connections, collaboration and the impact of traumatic stress on development and the need for trauma responsive and culturally competent service delivery * Experience working with children, youth, and families involved with child welfare, youth services, or other community based organizations * Program development, coordination of services, organization of information and data, and report writing * Ability to create, develop, and train curriculum and other training materials * Demonstrated ability to identify, develop, deliver, and evaluate curriculum and other training materials * Ability to evaluate and provide technical assistance * Strong knowledge of adult learning strategies and theories of systemic change Required Skills and Proficiencies: * Must have working knowledge of computers, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access) * Excellent customer service, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills * Must be able to maintain confidentiality and be sensitive and respectful of our customer's needs * Must be able to report to the work location regularly and in a timely manner * Ability to work independently and as a team member in a diverse, fast-paced environment * Professional manner and appearance * Strong attention to detail * Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and organizational skills * Ability to use social media tools and websites * Ability to coordinate multiple, detailed projects under strict deadlines while maintaining high-quality results Licenses Required: * Valid Oklahoma driver's license at time of hire Advertised Physical Requirements: * Standard administrative office experience and exposure including keyboarding.
