    Job Title Internship Coordinator Job ID 19183 Location USF St. Petersburg Full/Part Time Full-Time Regular/Temporary Regular Posting Details College/Division: College of Arts & Sciences Career Counselor Hiring Salary/Salary Range: $40,000 - $44,000 Reporting to the Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences, the Internship Coordinator is responsible for working with both employers and students to develop and maintain high quality experiential learning opportunities in the form of internships for both the student and the employer. The Coordinator will work closely with students to prepare them for their internship experiences, supporting students as they identify and seek internship opportunities, and to assist them with the process of formalizing the internship as a credit bearing course. In addition, this position will also manage all internship paperwork and legal agreements, as well as track all student and employer evaluations. Evening or weekend hours are required for information sessions and other events (occassional). RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee all College of Arts and Sciences internships. Provide advice, guidance, assistance, and resources for CAS students seeking to engage in internships as well as some general career counseling. Continue systematizing and professionalizing the processes involved in setting up formal credit bearing internships, including drawing up clear contracts and issuing permits for internships. Establish new internship relationships with businesses and nonprofits in the city and region. Collaborate with faculty to develop research opportunities with students as well as aid students in finding faculty mentors for their internships. Track and keep records of all CAS internships for reporting purposes. Develop marketing materials for CAS internships to make students more aware of the opportunities and how to integrate them within their majors. Support and promote study abroad opportunities and collaborate with the Global Studies Office. Collaborate and participate in initiatives with Career Services, Compass, and the Center for Civic Engagement. Serve as CAS coordinator and liaison for the Science Festival. QUALIFICATIONS (Education & Experience): Minimum Qualifications: This position requires a Master's degree in Career Counseling, Career Education, College Student Affairs, MBA or related field. Preferred Qualifications: At least two years in a higher education/University setting with experience coordinating internships and/or significant experience coordinating career/job placement in private or non-profit settings is preferred. Certification from a professional organization such as the National Career Development Association, the National Association of the Colleges and Employers, or the National Board of Certified Counselors may be preferred or required for specific positions.
