FWS is awarded to eligible students who meet the March 1st priority deadline when completing their Free Application for Federal Financial Aid (FAFSA) application. More students are awarded than there are available jobs on campus; therefore, the process is competitive. On average, there are seven applicants for every FWS job opening. About Student Employment Hourly Wage: $9 Duties: Student Affairs & Student Success is seeking a reliable, organized detail-oriented student to assist with marketing and communications needs of the departments aligned with Enrollment Planning & Management and Undergraduate Studies. Under the supervision of the marketing officer supporting with these departments, the student marketing assistant will provide general assistance in support of departmental projects and campaigns, including but not limited to: * Brainstorming creative approaches * Researching creative content * Coordinating market research * Copywriting * Assisting with project management * Coordinating physical and digital distribution of marketing materials * Preparing social media posts and coordinating postings * Maintaining website content * Developing and maintaining distribution lists * Special assignments as requested Average Number of Hours per Week: 15- 20 hours per week Schedule: Flexible to work around class schedule. Monday - Friday between 8-5pm working 3-4 hours per day Minimum Qualifications: Must be currently enrolled full-time and in good academic standing. Must maintain good academic standing throughout duration of employment. Should be able to effectively use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Applicant must have a current Federal Work Study (FWS) award for the current academic year in order to apply for this position.
