Department/Unit Controller's Office - Business Affairs Campus US-MN-St. Paul Anticipated Start Date 1/2/2019 Special Instructions | OVERVIEW Job Title: Student Accounting Intern Shifts: Position available starting J-term. Total Requested Hours per Week: aprox. 10-15 hours per week, schedule flexible. Monday-Friday between the hours of 7am and 5pm. Possibility of full-time position during Summer months. Locations: Saint Paul, MN JOB SUMMARY Assist in preparing various reconciliations, reports, surveys and other projects as assigned. Perform verification of new vendors. Prepare monthly accounting journal entries and other analysis. Scanning documents, filing and data entry QUALIFICATIONS * Undergraduate student (Sophomore or Junior) majoring in Accounting. * Minimum requirement: successful completion of Intro to Financial Accounting. * Must be detail-oriented and self-directed with the ability to work independently. * Excellent organizational skills required and willingness to ask questions. * Must be sensitive to confidential matters. * Experience with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
