This includes IV therapy, pre-procedure assessment and preparation, post-procedure recovery, groin management, and pre/post patient/family teaching for discharge or transfer to the inpatient Cardiology Services. The Nurses are responsible for communicating effectively with physicians and procedural staff. Skills including telemetry and hemodynamic monitoring are essential to respond quickly and accurately to changes in the patient's condition. Additionally, our RNs are able to perform general nursing duties in all cardiology areas with adequate supervision.
