    Registered Nurse 2 UWMC ICRU Req #: 158331 Department: ICRU Job Location: UW Medical Center Posting Date: 01/04/2019 Closing Info: Open Until Filled Salary: DOE Union Position: Yes Shift: First Shift Registered Nurse 2 (E S WSNA) Registered Nurse 2 (E S WSNA) In our 19 bed INTERVENTIONAL CARDIAC RECOVERY UNIT RNS provide direct care to patients admitted to the CARDIAC CATH and EP Labs. This includes IV therapy, pre-procedure assessment and preparation, post-procedure recovery, groin management, and pre/post patient/family teaching for discharge or transfer to the inpatient Cardiology Services. The Nurses are responsible for communicating effectively with physicians and procedural staff. Skills including telemetry and hemodynamic monitoring are essential to respond quickly and accurately to changes in the patient's condition. Additionally, our RNs are able to perform general nursing duties in all cardiology areas with adequate supervision.
