Area Coordinator, Residential Education _ __ _Position Summary The Area Coordinator isresponsible for assisting in the management and operation of a residential areaor residential areas (approximately 500 1600 students). The Area Coordinatormay also work closely with faculty, program coordinators, and graduate assistants. The Area Coordinator reports to one of fourassistant directors within the Vanderbilt University Office of Housing andResidential Education. The Area Coordinator will also have collateralassignment within the department in areas such as residence hall security,programming, resident adviser selection and training, and housing operations. _This is a live-in position andparticipates in a duty rotation with seven other area coordinators and sixgraduate area coordinators. __ _ Competitive salary includescomprehensive benefits and a furnished apartment. Duties and Responsibilities * Assist with program development for a large high-riseresidential community with approximately 1,200 residents * Student counseling - collaborate with departments includingthe University Counseling Center, K.C.
