Taylor University is seeking applications of candidates for SPORTS INFORMATION ASSISTANT. This is a PART-TIME, 12 MONTH, NON-EXEMPT position located in Upland, Indiana.  Resumes will be accepted until position is filled.

RESPONSIBILITIES:     The sports information assistant will work alongside the SID to provide coverage of 16 NAIA varsity sports. Duties include, but are not limited to, writing game recaps, creating gameday programs, keeping statistics on DakStat or StatCrew software for athletic events, maintaining Taylor’s athletics website and performing additional day-to-day office duties. The part-time sports information assistant is required to work many nights and weekends and some travel may be required.

The desired candidate for this position will possess a bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years of college athletic experience in sports information, have a wide-ranging knowledge of college sports and a journalism background. Preferably, the candidate would have working knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign, DakStats, StatCrew, photography, videography, possess a strong attention to detail with a passion for working within college athletics. The candidate must have the ability to develop positive relationships with the coaching staff and members of the local media.
