    The Associate Dean I will function as part of a leadership team in conjunction with the Director of Accreditation in the Office of Institutional Effectiveness. The people filling these positions will need flexibility and creative problem-solving skills and a strong commitment to their professions, assessment, accountability, and evaluation.

    Responsibilities

    • Drive programmatic accreditation and state-related program approval efforts with support from program leadership.
    • Primarily support Walden’s educator licensure programs, may support additional programs with licensure and accreditation activities.
    • Extensively interacts and collaborates with academic administrators, administrative staff, and faculty to support and accomplish programmatic accreditation and state-related program approval efforts.
    • Provide guidance and support for self-study and site visit completion and planning.
    • Prepare internal participants for accreditation-related activities.
    • Conduct academic assessment related duties in support of Walden’s educator licensure programs.
    • Provide data and reporting support for educator licensure support for accreditation activities.
    • In coordination with the Assessment team, support licensure-leading education programs such as analysis of specific survey data and other system data.
    • Provide support for additional university accreditation efforts and site visits, as needed.
    • Ensure Walden DATA page student outcomes information required for assigned areas of scope are updated, as needed.
    • Participate in accreditation-related special projects, as needed.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Master Degree in Education or related field. Required
    • Ph.D. or Doctorate Degree in Education or related field. Preferred
    • 6-8 Years of Experience working in Higher Education Required
    • 3-5 years of Experience with assessment of student learning activities related to educator licensure programs. Required
    • At least 1 year of experience with assessment of student learning activities related to educator licensure programs. Required
    • Knowledge of the Business Management Skills Teamwork Accountability Integrity Problem-Solving / Critical Thinking Communication Skills.
    • Experience with TaskStream or related systems preferred.
    • Highly organized, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to make recommendations based on interpreting data accurately.
    • Ability to ensure timely reporting to state agencies, programmatic accreditors, and other related entities.
    • Ability to resolve system-based issues to improve unit operations.
    • Fluent skills in working with electronic communication and office productivity tools.
    • Evidence of compatibility with the mission of positive social change, broad access and professional excellence and Walden’s values of quality, integrity, and student-centeredness.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills and an ability to manage and prioritize several projects at one time.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.

    Additional Information

    _In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $77,996.84 and $140,851.54. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
