    Specialist, Enrollment Operations Job Description Available to Current WGU Employees ONLY Position Summary The principal mission of Western Governors University is to improve quality and expand access to post-secondary educational opportunities by providing a means for individuals to learn independent of time and place and to earn competency-based degrees and other credentials that are credible to both academic institutions and employers. The Specialist, Enrollment Operations is responsible for supporting and implementing operational support of WGUs student Enrollment department. This position will work cross functionally within Enrollment and other WGU departments to implement comprehensive operational strategies and changes that will enable WGU to meet enrollment and retention targets and maintain a positive student and employee experience. This position will work closely with all levels of WGU leadership and employees to ensure operational excellence is achieved. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Top Priorities Gather and Analyze enrollment trends using analytical and statistical tools Create and Maintain performance Dashboards for all enrollment teams Inter-department Collaboration Work closely with other departments to identify areas of opportunity to improve student clearing Work with IR to ensure Cognos, CAREforce, Banner, and other systems are operating properly Lead cooperative efforts among departments to strengthen communication channels and processes Acts as a technical advisor and may assist in completing tasks to achieve team deliverables Project Management Provide input in various projects as it pertains to data quality, tracking and metric analysis to provide points of clarification toward success of projects or not Identify and eliminate bottlenecks, opportunities, and inefficiencies with regards to data and analysis to improve efficiency and student experience Self-Manage through various projects as needed Reporting and Information Management Develop and Distribute appropriate reports and data to improve performance Coordinate data points with Sr. Managers, Managers, Ops Manager, Director of Ops Develop new or existing reporting tools Coordinate dissemination of information to enrollment team strategically Ensure Sr. Managers and Managers set goals properly in appropriate systems Oversee onboarding of new employee access to primary systems Specific Tasks Gather and compile daily reporting of Enrollment Reports, Student Feedback on Enrollment Portal Create weekly, monthly reporting of Contact Reports, Student Surveys deployment and results Mange exiting Enrollment Counselor leads to active Enrollment Counselors Troubleshooting various systems and processes daily Dashboard / Listboard Management Ensuring tools are accurate and up-to-date Additional Duties Assist leadership team in employee recognition efforts Take on additional strategic initiatives, as assigned Required Skills Required Skills: Strong oral and written communication and demonstrated human relation skills Basic mathematical skills, strong Microsoft Excel skills preferred Demonstrated problem solving skills Experience in a call center environment Ability to use a personal computer and Internet experience essential. Capable to work remote web media for remote communications and presentations Required Experience Minimum Qualifications 2-5 years industry experience Bachelors degree required Preferred, educational background, business, communication or related field Strong experience with distance education and distance learning students is preferred Minimum WGU enrollment experience of 2 years Job Location Salt Lake City, Utah, United States Position Type Full-Time/Regular
