    Assistant Professor of Accounting

    Join Westminster College’s faculty in a learning environment where teaching and attention to student growth are the primary focus. Students can choose from more than 30 majors or a self-designed major to pursue a bachelor's degree. This liberal arts institution is located in the small town of Fulton, Missouri, recently noted as one of the “15 Best Small Towns to Visit in 2019” by Smithsonian Magazine. Budget Travel Magazine designated Fulton one of the top 10 Coolest Small Towns in America. In recent years the rate of admittance to graduate school or job placement of our students was 97%, with our graduate earnings ranking in the top 15% nationwide.

    Westminster College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Accounting beginning August 2020. Westminster College places great emphasis on an international perspective, cross-disciplinary connections, and multiple "high-impact" teaching methods (such as hands-on projects, internships, undergraduate research, teaching with technology, etc.) Also required is a strong commitment to professional development and academic advising. Applicants should have the ability to teach the following:

    Principles of Financial Accounting,

    Principles of Managerial Accounting,

    *Individual Income Tax (Tax I) and Corporate Tax (Tax II), (*Required)

    Intermediate Accounting I and II,

    Governmental Not-for-profit

    and other accounting classes as needed.

    Qualifications:

    Master's degree with CPA and teaching experience required. Ph.D. or ABD status preferred.
