Position Announcement:
Assistant Professor of Microbiology
Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri invites applications for a full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor of Biology, beginning August 2019.
Teaching responsibilities include Microbiology, introductory biology, and an upper-level course in biochemistry and/or environmental biology or ecology. Broadly-trained applicants who can teach at both the introductory level and upper level will be highly competitive. The teaching load is 12 contact hours per semester, with a typical load being two lectures and two labs. The successful candidate will work with dynamic and engaged colleagues and share their commitment to deliver high-quality courses. Tenure-track faculty are also expected to engage undergraduates in research and participate in service to the department and the College. All tenure track faculty contribute to academic advising.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have experience teaching undergraduates and have earned a Ph.D. in Biology or a related field at time of appointment (ABD also considered).
