  • Responsibilities

    Essential Functions:

    • Perform users access, training and trouble shoot problems related to plant’s telecommunication system.
    • Install network configuration upgrades as needed.
      • Administers the following areas: Windows Server 2008 including Active Directory and the use of Group Policies Backup/recovery technologies; TCP/IP, routing, switching, DHCP and DNS, Cisco IP telephony.
    • Validation - Collaborate with Engineering to ensure Validation Paperwork is completed accurately. Execute Validation for Label Printers and computers. Produces Validation Reports as needed.Labview Programming. LabVIEW Programming Changes, monthly backup of the tune room data; assist in printing tune room customer copy and tune room detail report when requested
    • Monitor and Configure - Humidity & Temperature Controller, Sanford Servers through Dell iDRAC & Network Equipment through SolarWinds
    • Act as a liaison between local mainframe users and Elyria systems group.
    • Respond quickly to user issues.
    • Maintenance and installation of area system hardware and software.
    • Configure/ghost and install new PC’s printers and other related equipment.
    • Monitor plant expenditures on system hardware and software, matching to annual plan.
    • Precisely document asset management information.
    • Provide fix/repair, moves, replacement, upgrades and modifications to all Florida supported PC’s, terminals, printers and other end user equipment.
    • Create and modify area data base applications as required to meet business needs.
    • Support Desktop applications.
    • Maintain network integrity by performing nightly system back up.
    • Establish system hardware and software requirements to meet user needs. Coordinate the procurement and installation.
    • Preventative Maintenance - Cleaning of Label Printers, CNC and SAW Machine; Backup Configuration Files of both CNC machine SAW machine and Tune room test stations; Battery replacement of CNC machine, SAW machine, Tune Room Test Stations, ID Badge system and Server room. Back up of robotic programs
    • Security - Create, activate and deactivate ID Badges. Confirm Badge Database with active user list. Assure doors are locked by software specifications. Provide Security Camera footage when needed.
    • Order supplies for badges, labels for C/S and all computer & printer equipment
    • Assist with e-time configuration for new associates
    • Complete all required training applicable to assigned position.
    • Additional duties as requested or required.
    • Exhibit positivity, flexibility, creativity, and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or a related degree
    • Thorough knowledge of Windows server 2008 or higher and Cisco telephone system
    • 3-5 years experience setting up and repairing PCs.
    • 3-5 years experience supporting end users with hardware and software needs.
    • Ability to install and perform preventive maintenance on printers and other peripheral equipment.
    • Proficient in the use of windows applications and software.
    • Oracle experience, a plus.
    • Experience managing telephone systems preferred.
    • Excellent verbal and written communications.
    • Off-hours availability required.

    Bachelor degree in discipline related to functional work or role with 3-5 years of relevant work experience OR demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of applicable work experience.

    Able to demonstrates ability to solve somewhat more complex problems by analyzing variables and applying appropriate solutions learned through experience and proficiency in understanding the job. Must be able to recognize anomalies and critical situations and respond appropriately.  Must be able to communicate and interact with a variety of internal/external customers and/or co-workers at level of detail required to resolve issues of moderate complexity.

    Able to apply strong functional computer knowledge in utilizing Microsoft Windows, MAC, or other technical tools in completing assignments.  May require knowledge of or ability to quickly learn specialized software to complete work assignments.  Able to demonstrate continued expertise in the primary tools or applications used in completing daily work assignments.

    Requires very good communication skills with ability to state messages in a clear manner by using language that is easy for others to understand.

    Must be able to proactively listen to others to understand issues and situations.  Must be able to clearly articulate business needs to both internal and external customers.
