This is a cyclic, working 11 - months, full-time classified position, with Leave Without Pay (LWOP) usually mid-July 16 - July 31 and mid-December 16 - December 31 of each year. Beginning salary is $2,530 per month for 40 hours per week, with periodic increments up to $3,342, plus a full state benefits package. Reporting to the Director Workforce Education, the Bilingual Program Assistant in the Dental Hygiene Program will independently perform work requiring knowledge and experience specific to technical and professional programs. The Bilingual Program Assistant will organize and perform work specifically to program operations independent of the daily administrative office needs. Represent the program by establishing positive relationships with all constituents. The program assistant will perform specialized technical/clerical duties in support of program activity including the Dental Hygiene Clinic. Work under guidance of the Dental Hygiene Coordinator and as a team member collaborate with the department faculty, staff and administrators; and perform other duties as assigned. Additionally, we are seeking a candidate who demonstrates a strong promise as a contributing member of the Workforce Education Division. Duties are performed in an office environment. Long periods of computer work may be necessary to complete assignments. Occasional lilting of items up to 25 lbs. may be required. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 1. High school diploma or equivalent2. Two years of full-time clerical experience OR Equivalent education/experience 3.
