  • Responsibilities

    Identify, plan, and execute complex audit and advisory projects that allow IA&AS to partner with University departments in solving critical and strategic issues. Direct or lead other staff in a manner which ensures both the successful completion of the work and the on-going professional development of the individuals involved.

    Tasks include:

    • Manage all phases of the audit process, including communication with clients, audit planning and scope, audit programs, fieldwork, review of deliverables and workpapers, and writing the audit report.
    • Advise and report on risks associated with the implementation or upgrade of systems. This includes review of implementation project documentation, and involvement in key meetings.
    • Provide guidance and assistance to audit project managers regarding IT risks within business process reviews.
    • Provide assistance to external auditors in compliance with their work and documentation standards.
    • Appraise the adequacy of corrective actions taken to improve deficient conditions.

    Required Skills

    • B.A./B.S. in computer science, management information systems, information technology or related field.
    • 5 plus years of experience in information technology auditing, consulting, or similar role.
    • Strong project management skills; able to multi-task and manage priorities.
    • Thorough understanding of general computer controls, cybersecurity risks, systems development life cycle methodologies, and business practices.
    • Professional certification (CISA, CIA, CISM), is desirable. Experience with SAP, SharePoint, and ACL, as well as professional experience in higher education is a plus.
