  • Responsibilities

    The Assistant Registrar will assist in all aspects of the daily operation of the Registrar’s Office including providing support to the Graduate Medical Science’s Registrar. The position works in tandem with the Registrar to provide confidential, accurate, and timely services including advising, registration services, and student advocacy. The Assistant Registrar provides advising and counseling to new and continuing students, as well as faculty and staff, as to graduation requirements, course choices, university policies, and student academic progress. The Assistant Registrar will also support initiatives centered around student records maintenance and security, and provide support to the Graduate Medical Sciences Financial Aid Administrator as needed.

    Qualifications

     

    • Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of relevant work experience- required.  
    • Two or more years of experience in higher education, enrollment management or student services is preferred. 
    • Familiarity with federal privacy laws such as FERPA and HIPAA and maintenance of information confidentiality is essential.

         

     

    Skill Requirements

     

    The ideal candidate is adaptable, highly motivated, professional, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment. The successful applicant will have a background in higher education and will be familiar and comfortable with changing technology.  Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
