A Little about the Think Tank Team
The Think Tank Team at Samsung Research America is an interdisciplinary collective of researchers, designers, scientists and engineers with offices in Mountain View, CA – though we are globally distributed at the moment. We represent a diverse skillset, including electrical engineering, computer engineering, signal processing, machine learning, computer vision, visual design, interaction design, industrial design, optics, physics, and more from institutions such as MIT, Caltech, Stanford, CMU, Oxford and others. We hail from all walks of life, and from countries around the world. We believe that the best way to show is to design and build prototypes, and that the best products come from teams collaborating to understand and solve a problem from multiple perspectives.
Our commitment is to create what’s next for Samsung by applying the latest advances in technology, science, and design to address real-world needs and transform the next generation of human experience. Since our inception in 2012, we have brought many projects including the Samsung smartwatches, the Beyond 3D/360 camera, the BotChef cooking robot, the Ballie personal companion, and many others to the world stage. We create new products and experiences that will impact the lives of millions, and have fun exploring the boundaries of what’s possible.
