    Our office is looking to add a Controls Engineer to work on a wide range of projects including data centers, transportation facilities, buildings, theaters, science and industry, education, and commercial office / residential buildings. Our Controls engineers are part of a coordinated Building Engineering team encompassing Structural, MEP, Sustainability, IT and Façade Engineers. Arup practices "Total Architecture", and it is expected that the candidate would be responsible for interfacing and coordinating with internal and external parties, including architects, to influence the development of a holistic design.

    RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS SPECIFIC ROLE WILL INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

    • Design and implementation of control system applications in coordination with project Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing engineers
    • Instrument and control device selection
    • Control system network design, system integration, system communication protocols and standards
    • Review vendor drawings for specification and drawing compliance
    • Construction coordination and support
    • Interface with Operations, Vendors, and Contractors throughout design, constructions, and startup.
    • Working with people from other disciplines and/or vendors to gain knowledge on new subjects.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Controls, Mechanical, Electrical or Architectural Engineering
    • Minimum of a 3.0 GPA or higher
    • Ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas in an accessible way
    • Attitude of taking initiative, enthusiasm, eagerness to learn, teamwork, creativity

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Pursuing a Master's Degree in Controls, Mechanical, Electrical or Architectural Engineering
    • Pursuing EIT
