    We are seeking a Graduate Transportation Engineer. The successful candidate will share our passion for crafting great urban places and achieving sustainable planning outcomes in ‘shaping a better world’. We are looking for someone with an understanding of the principles of design, land use, and the relationship to traffic operations. The candidate will have an interest in gaining experience in some or all of the following subject areas: street design, microsimulation modeling, and traffic/transit analysis.

    RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS SPECIFIC ROLE WILL INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

    • Performing analyses and generating reports using tools including Excel, traffic modeling platforms, PowerBI, or other analytical tools
    • Developing data, coding and calibrating micro-simulation models and interpreting their outputs
    • Preparing conceptual street/intersection designs for urban and airport landside environments
    • Creating well-organized presentation material and writing reports for internal and external purposes
    • Attending client meetings with senior staff
    • Presenting technical material in traditional and innovative ways for review by technical and non-technical audiences
    • Researching and understanding trends and standard methodologies in the Transportation Industry

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Working towards a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, transportation planning, industrial engineering or similar related field
    • Minimum of a 3.0 GPA
    • Knowledge of US traffic planning and engineering practices
    • Experience with one or more of the following: Synchro, Vissim, Aimsun, AutoCAD, Microstation
    • Candidate must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future.

    Preferred

    • Experience with analytical or design tools (ex ArcGIS, SketchUp, Illustrator, PowerBI, AutoTurn/AutoTrack, TransCAD, Visum, Cube/Voyager, TransModeler, Legion, HCS, SPSS, Arena, etc)
    • Experience with system programming languages (ex. Python, R, Julia)
    • Experience with Accessibility tools: OpenStreetMap, GTFS feeds, Conveyal, Google API
