  • Responsibilities

    All Ivy is NYC's premier event planning organization for young professionals, having hosted and organized hundreds of events for 50,000+ attendees in NYC since 2007.

    You will be engaged in all aspects of hosting a wide variety of social, professional, and cultural events for a community of high-achieving young professionals. This includes, but is not limited to, negotiating contracts with venues, hiring experiential vendors and talent, providing logistical support at events, and consistently engaging the member community both in person and online. Finally, you will be in charge of cultivating and managing a group of organizational volunteers.

    Applicants should be driven, detail-oriented, and sociable individuals who are pursuing a career in marketing, events, and/or communications. This position requires a minimum of 1 year's experience in professional event planning, as well as excellent communication skills, a high level of personal organization, a proficiency for multi-tasking, and a passion for bringing people together. You will work closely with All Ivy' Managing Director in a highly collaborative and deadline-oriented environment.

    Responsibilities:

    • Plan, host, and manage weekly events (including on weekends)
    • Draft and publish marketing communications and copy
    • Scout venues and develop relationships with venue management
    • Recruit, hire, and manage event staff and experiential vendors
    • Utilize social media for marketing
    • Utilize third party software including Mailchimp, Splashthat, and Asana
    • Manage and coordinate organizational volunteers
    • Spearhead sponsorship & business development outreach
  • Qualifications
    • 1-2+ years experience in professional event planning and/or production
    • Excellent writing, research, and interpersonal communication skills
    • Ability to prioritize and handle a variety of assignments simultaneously
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Self-starter and a quick learner
    • Responsible and prompt
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Drive
    • Social - enjoys attending events & meeting new people
    • Familiarity with HTML & CSS a plus
    • Basic design skills (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) a plus
