Your help can make a difference. POSITION: Development Intern LOCATION: Multiple locations available CONTACT: Chelsea Burke, Development Director START DATE: Flexible. Minimum of 2 month commitment from start date. POSITION DESCRIPTION: The primary responsibility will be to assist the Development Team with strategic outreach, recruitment and event logistics. The primary responsibility is to support the administrative, logistical, and planning functions of our special events. The intern will join the special events team in producing the Fight For Air Climb in Downtown Los Angeles, CA (April 2019), the LUNG FORCE Gala (June 2019), and the LUNG FORCE Walks (OC and LA, November 2018) and other events as created. Responsibilities include: recruitment and outreach, research, volunteer management, data management, coordinate mail campaigns, and health fairs/community event participation. Other projects supporting different functions may be assigned. This position is unpaid. QUALIFICATIONS: * Must be a non-smoker * Bachelors degree preferred, but exceptional undergraduate students encouraged to apply * Interest in non-profit event planning, volunteer management, and donor solicitation preferred * Excellent customer service; friendly, outgoing and not afraid to make cold calls * Attention to detail and great communication skills * Experience with Microsoft Office Suite * Able to communicate clearly in English (bilingual skills useful) Job Type: Internship 18 hours ago - save job
