COMPANY PROFILE
OPUS 3 ARTISTS is one of the world’s leading independent artist management firms. The company traces its roots to the pioneering work of the legendary Sol Hurok, the first and greatest American impresario whose work began in the 1920s and lasted into the 1970s. With the goal of furthering Hurok's legacy, ICM Artists was formed from Hurok Concerts in 1976 and operated as a subsidiary of the International Creative Management (ICM) talent agency until 2006. At that time, eight ICM Artists’ executives and managers, with assistance from private equity financing, purchased the agency and renamed it. As Opus 3 Artists, the company is proud to enter its next stage of evolution as an international leader in managing the careers and touring activities of some of the world’s most distinguished performing artists and ensembles.
Based in New York City, OPUS 3 ARTISTS maintains an impressive roster of first-class talent in the field of classical music featuring a dazzling array of instrumentalists, vocalists, conductors, composers, chamber music, touring symphony and chamber orchestras. In addition, it has expanded its areas of focus to include dance, theater companies, jazz, world, and new music ensembles to reflect a dedication to representing the full spectrum of performing arts in the industry today. OPUS 3 ARTISTS is also a leader in discovering and developing young artists by helping to establish the network and foundation for their careers.
The company consists of a respected team of managers and agents, booking representatives, travel, repertoire, publicity and tour production specialists who share a passion for artistic excellence and respond to the needs and expectations of presenting organizations and symphony orchestras of every size throughout the world.
