    Fairfax Family Practice is seeking an Physical Therapist to join our outpatient clinic in Fairfax, VA. 

    Our Physical Therapist combine EVIDENCE BASED PHYSICAL THERAPY PRACTICE PHILOSOPHIES along with ONSITE PATIENT INFORMATION AND IMAGING STUDIES to ensure the best clinical outcomes for our patients. We are searching for COMPASSIONATE, FORWARD-THINKING Physical Therapist who OPTIMIZE PATIENT-CENTERED DIAGNOSIS by assessing strengths and weaknesses to devise effective TEAM-BASED TREATMENT PLANS in accordance with the physician’s orders. We are searching for Physical Therapist that are EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATORS and have STRONG INTERPERSONAL SKILLS who want to be part of a COLLABORATIVE TEAM.  We are searching clinicians that want to join a team that is improving the health and well-being of our patients by advocating injury prevention, exercise, nutrition and complete wellness.

    JOB DUTIES INCLUDE (BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):

    • The Physical Therapist /PT perform initial and ongoing physical therapy evaluations.
    • Experience in outpatient orthopedics preferred but not required.
    • The Physical Therapist/ PT will evaluate, develop and administer detailed treatment programs with specific goals defined by the patient’s capacity and tolerance and in accordance with the physician’s orders.
    • Educate patients about the bio-mechanics of their body’s natural movement to prevent additional injury and to promote wellness.
    • Communicate with physicians, team members and patients to ensure a consistent level of care and improved quality of life.
    • Perform daily documentation.
    • AT LEAST 2 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE AS A LICENSED PHYSICAL THERAPIST.

    REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:                     

    • Current state license or actively in the application process.
    • Current CPR certification.
    • Must have graduated from an accredited physical therapy program.
    • Authorized to work in the United States.

    • Maintain a positive attitude and appearance at all times.
    • Approach guests in a friendly manner to offer assistance and provide information regarding Newport Aquarium.
    • Arrive on time and ready to work all scheduled shifts, and in accordance with aquarium uniform and appearance standards.
    • Keep safety as a number one priority at all times while working at Newport Aquarium.
    • Understand policies and procedures relating to the overall functions of Guest Service department.
    • Work with other team members/departments of Newport Aquarium to ensure effective communication is implemented at all times
    • Maintain knowledge of activities, aquatic life, and Newport Aquarium special events/promotions in order to properly notify and inform guests.
    • Must be self-motivated to work independently, as well as, disciplined and reliable.
    • Maintain appropriate guest and team member relations at all times, ensuring guest and team satisfaction.
    • Demonstrates strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
    • Responsible for proper cash handling and maintaining PCI (Payment Card Industry) compliance.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Guest Service Management Team.
