  • Responsibilities

    **Stone Mountain Park is looking for an electrical technician apprentice to work in a dynamic and diverse M &C environment. This position will be assisting with assigned responsibilities related to the general maintenance and repair of electrical systems for commercial buildings and equipment. This individual must possess the ability to work on a broad range of M&C duties. Responsibilities may also include but are not limited to providing temporary electrical service and emergency generator hook up for various festivals, events and tent structures, troubleshooting to make electrical repairs that does not require a license is also essential. **Additional duties may be assigned. Management retains the discretion to change or add to the duties of this position at anytime.

    • Respond to a wide variety of electrical related work orders with occasional tasks that may relate to tasks including but not limited to occasional electrical or general maintenance.
    • Participate in and assist with various projects that require electrical and other technical skills including but not limited to general maintenance and construction departmental initiatives.
    • Assisting other skilled tradesmen including contractors and M&C staff to restore operation of equipment following inclement weather.
    • Assist with minor building maintenance including but not limited to general construction repairs.
    • Assisting with the installation, modification, trouble shooting and repair of all electrical components (light fixtures, plugs, etc.) and systems to comply with National Electric Code and/or Southern Building Code, OSHA regulations and applicable industry standards.
    • Assist the certified Electrician with calculating electrical loads and consumption
    • Document repairs and work order request forms.
    • Perform regularly assigned Maintenance departmental manager on duty shifts
    • Participate and having the willingness to learn how to manage building automation and energy management systems.
    • Electrical training is ongoing and having the capacity to pursue an electrical license is a plus.

    Required Experience

    • High School or Technical education preferred
    • Minimum of six months experience at a technical trade school or equivalent experience required
    • Must have and maintain a Georgia Driver's License
