    JOB SUMMARY:

    The Entertainment Production Supervisor is responsible for providing communication, organization, leadership, development, training, and evaluation of Team Leads; interpreting and implementing Dollywood Company policies, procedures and management decisions with assigned personnel, shows and/or acts while monitoring work flow to ensure operational effectiveness of performance standards; and to ensure guests have a positive entertainment experience.

    SUMMARY OF MAJOR JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Communicate job expectations; planning, monitoring, training, coaching, counseling and performance evaluations. 

    • Assist Entertainment management with resolution of Host issues by investigating concerns; identifying solutions; administering the Positive Discipline Process as necessary, and recommending action.

    • Assist in coordinating safety programs that meet or exceeds state, federal, industry and company regulations and guidelines while maintaining organized documentation of all safety training materials, reports, lists and safety signoffs for the division.

    • Effectively performs safety training meetings to meet or exceed company requirements.

    • Sustain show quality by observing shows, maintaining equipment and props.

    • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

    • Assist in identifying budget savings and/or needs of show productions.

    • Initiate and foster a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.

    • Maintain a friendly and cooperative atmosphere of openness, participation, caring, appreciation and flexible leadership that invites Hosts to do their best.

    • Complete production plan by scheduling, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising reports and schedules, resolving issues, and show reporting.

    • Attend rehearsals, purchase props and/or costumes and assist choreographers.

    • Coordinate and file all shows archives and BMI reporting needs.

    • Serve as liaison for Dollywood Theme Park during Bluegrass and Gospel advancing period.

    • Create a positive first and last impression for Park visitors through Guest service, friendliness and attention to detail within all areas of responsibility.

    • Be knowledgeable of Park (i.e., locations of buildings, services available, restaurant menus, show schedules, special events).

    • Answer questions from Guests and inform them of Park events, areas of interest, and general Park information.

    • Resolve Guest complaints with assistance as needed from Unit 100 and/or Unit 700.

    • Communicate division and company information on a daily basis to Hosts.

    • Ensure Dollywood’s supplied costumes and dress guidelines are enforced.

    • Monitor total park operations and solve issues as Entertainment PIC and/or Park HIC.

    • Participate and contribute to team effort in Entertainment Auditions, staff, production, casting and creative meetings as scheduled while maintaining strict confidentiality.

    • Perform special projects/duties as directed by assigned manager.

    Required Skills Required Experience

    EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

    • High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred.
    • Must be at least 21 years of age.
    • Three (3) years of experience working in a similar capacity in the Entertainment industry.
    • One (1) year of supervisory experience.
    • Ability to supervise others and provide motivation and leadership.  Supervisory experience preferred.
    • Working knowledge of P&L budgets, forecasting and scheduling preferred.
    • A proven track record of successful project management.
    • Intermediate computer experience with working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint software.
    • Must have a valid driver’s license with proof of auto liability insurance.
    • Successful completion of a post-employment offer background check, credit check and drug test.
