    Job Description

    Equinox seeks a Buyer for Women’s apparel. This candidate should have a minimum of 3-5 years corporate retail experience in Buying/Planning. The ideal candidate would have worked in a multi-vendor and multi store environment with an understanding of curating assortments and allocating product.

    This position will report directly to the Director of Buying and sits at the company’s headquarters at Hudson Yards.

    • RESPONSIBILITIES
      • Responsible for the selection, development, and procurement of all merchandise for assigned departments and the performance of that merchandise as outlined in annual profit plans.
      • Accountable for sales, gross profit, and inventory performance against approved plans.
      • Establish and maintain vendor relationships and attend buying appointments.
      • Negotiate buying terms with vendors (price, quantity, and delivery terms)
      • Manage in season inventory levels thru RTVs, transfers, reorders, and receipt flow.
      • Partner with planning to manage and drive Open to Buy forecasts.
      • Continually research and explore new trends in marketplace and category
      • Establish cross-functional relationships to effectively grow and maintain business and financial expectations
      • Lead and develop other members of the merchandising team
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Computer proficiency: Microsoft Office applications (Excel proficiency a must)
    • Highly organized, detail oriented and accurate
    • Ability to adapt well to change in direction and priority in a fast- paced and deadline-oriented environment
    • Bachelor’s Degree; Merchandise/Planning or Fashion Related Degree preferred.
    • Strong command of retail math concepts and statistical analysis.
    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills; able to juggle multiple priorities.
    • Enthusiastic, energetic, personable, hardworking, flexible, and diligent.
    • 2 to 4 years of experience

    Pay Transparency: Min $75,000 - Max $85,000 annually

    Hybrid Work: 4 days on-site
