SUMMARY:
The position requires a dedicated individual who will take direction from the Guest Services Team Leads, Supervisors, and Manager; responsible for implementing daily requirements relating to Metal Detection and bag check procedure at the guest/employee entrance. Other responsibilities include all aspects of Guest Relations, Ticket Taking, General Cleaning, Stroller/Wheelchair Check/Rental, Guest Entry, and Crowd Control.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to learn and perform all facets of the Guest Services operation
Ability to work effectively with people and display proper attitude at all time
Computer experience a plus
Must have strong public speaking skills; the ability to read, write and speak the English language (knowledge of other languages is a plus)
Must be able to think clearly, react quickly, and calmly to changes and/or emergency situations
Must have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Willingness to take direction and coaching from experienced team members in order to improve your skills and enhance the guest experience
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a constantly changing environment as well as individually, with a minimum of supervision
Ability to work a flexible schedule which will include evenings, weekends and holidays
Ability to perform in a fast-paced job and remain courteous, friendly and helpful to guests and cast at all times
Knowledge of marine life a plus
REQUIREMENTS:
Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening and background check
Ability to remain on feet for long periods of time, climb stairs, bend and stoop and periods of outside environmental exposure
Physical strength, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
SHIFT: The aquarium is open 365 a year. Applicant needs the flexibility to work weekends, evenings and Holidays. Daily operations span from 8:00am to 8:00pm depending on the time of year.
PAYRATE: $10 - $13
NOTE: Position will involve exposure to inclement weather, dust, potentially dangerous and unpredictable animal species, and potential dangerous machinery, restraint devices and toxic chemicals and/or drugs. Occasional use of protective clothing or equipment is required e.g. goggles, mask, gloves, and gowns.
