    Club Barona Host OBJECTIVE: To increase the loyalty of existing players, develop the next generation of players, and sustain our competitive advantage by building upon our reputation for delivering world-class player service. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Standing or walking for eight hours in a Casino environment that is smoke-free and outside in extreme weather, often under stressful conditions NOTE: This description incorporates the most typical duties performed. It is recognized that other related duties not specifically mentioned may also be performed. Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Always be Barona NICE to fellow staff and players; find every opportunity to offer a friendly smile, wave, and greeting • Have knowledge of and meet Wrap Around Service standards • Always provides excellent internal and external player service. Maintains a positive “team player” attitude • Works an eight-hour shift at a Club Barona booth, on the casino floor, or at a special event. • Welcomes each player to the casino and wishes them goodbye upon their departure • Performs casino announcements in a theatrical, entertaining, and professional manner • Assists players with playing video machines and table games as needed • Responsible for knowing complete and accurate information in order to answer all questions from the players • Represents the casino in a positive, professional manner; upholds high standards of grooming and appearance • Engages coworkers and players in a positive and upbeat manner; makes eye contact and smiles at all times • Communicates clearly and effectively with players and staff • Leaves a lasting impression on players, staff, and owners by making everyone feel special • Occasionally will assist with providing a concierge service to group tour players, including arriving and departing tour buses as needed • Inputs and updates member application information into a computer database, while ensuring the highest level of data integrity • Increases player awareness, participation, and utilization of the Club Barona card and casino promotions by actively soliciting players on the casino floor • Generates excitement and enthusiasm while assisting with all promotions and events; issues vouchers and entries, and checks in players for promotions and events • Issues Club Barona merchandise and complimentaries and redeems players' offers while abiding by and working within the set variance policies for coupon issuance, comp issuance, and inventory control • Protects Tribal assets through effective management of comps in alignment with “Comping with Confidence” guidelines, participates in Comping with Guidelines training, and appropriately defines business decisions on comp exception notices • Readily available to assist staff members of any department with player dispute/problem resolution using good judgment • Maintains inventory stock at the workstation, maintains the appearance of workstations, verifies issued vouchers in an orderly manner, and keeps all ashtrays at the posts clean and free from litter • Maintains current knowledge of the Club Barona card, casino amenities, games, and promotions to relay complete and accurate information to players and other staff • Maintains positive relationships with players and promotes Club Barona in a professional and friendly manner. Complies with the department’s service standards • Issues complimentaries up to $400 to players on the floor and at the booths • Utilizes myCONNECT software on departmentally issued IPAD’s to find and approach players playing on the casino floor in order to make a personal connection with them • Required to attend and complete any necessary training • Issues out and/or checks in scooters to players as needed utilizing the scooter inventory program, ASSIMOV. Ensures the player fills out the “Scooter Liability” form in its entirety NOTE: This description incorporates the most typical duties performed. Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Minimum of 18 years of age • Excellent oral communication skills • Excellent player service skills • Must have a clear and pleasant speaking voice • Able to work flexible hours • Keyboarding at 30 words per minute with 95% accuracy and Excel formatting capability REQUIRED EDUCATION: • High school diploma or equivalent Compensation: $19.90
