Veterinary Technology Internship Columbus Zoo and Aquarium 57 reviews - Powell, OH 43065 Internship The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium offers 6-12 week 32hrs/wk rotations open to students currently enrolled in an accredited veterinary technology program and veterinary technicians with a current license looking to get into the zoo medicine field. Students gain first hand clinical experience with medicine, surgery, husbandry, quarantine protocols, laboratory techniques, and pathology. Students will assist veterinary staff in medical and surgical procedures and set up, patient anesthetic monitoring, preparation and processing of laboratory samples, hospitalized patient care, quarantine patient management, supply and equipment maintenance, and maintaining patient records.
