    At Create Music Group we’re looking to add an HR Generalist to our growing team. If you have experience working in startups, are an outcome-oriented 'doer' who enjoys rolling up your sleeves and doing what needs to get done, and have a natural curiosity for improving processes, we want to speak with you. This is an opportunity to take on a hands-on role, managing and optimizing HR operations for employees and providing support and partnership across the employee life cycle in multiple areas of the business. 

    WHAT YOU’LL DO:

    Serve as an HR point of contact for all employees, providing support and answering questions to help staff navigate aspects of benefits administration, our HRIS, time & attendance, onboarding, etc. 

    Process system transactions for employment changes in our HRIS, Rippling (pay changes, promotions, terms, etc.) and maintain and update internal human resource files, records, and documentation

    Manage new hire & ongoing benefits administration including maintaining a close relationship with our benefits broker and other benefits providers to distribute materials from carriers, assist with communicating changes to employees and conducting employee presentations, and process changes within deadlines.

    Handle all on-boarding activities, including pre-hire employee communication, data entry into Rippling, and ensuring all policies, documentation and records are reviewed and accurately maintained

    Facilitate the employee exit and offboarding process, properly documenting all terminations in our system

    Ensure all policies, procedures and programs are communicated and administered consistently

    WHAT YOU HAVE:

    Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field

    3+ years of relevant HR experience

    Strong knowledge of employment and compliance laws in multiple states, especially in California

    Experience working in a startup environment- preferably in the tech, social media, or entertainment industries

    Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills

    Comfortable working through ambiguity and suggesting solutions

    Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills

    Demonstrated ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and possess high integrity

    High attention to detail, organized, problem-solver, critical thinker and multi-tasker

    Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, constantly changing start-up environment

    Self-starter, able to work independently and in a team environment

    Proficient with G Suite or related software. Rippling or multiple HRIS experience is a plus
