LOWLY. is an independent record label, established in 2017 and headquartered in Los Angeles. LOWLY. strives to develop Artists and expand audiences while creating a home for arts and culture within music. In partnership with the Nations, LOWLY. is a media collective uniquely positioned to empower Artists while driving discovery and impact. LOWLY. has propelled the careers of Artists including INZO, Arrested Youth, William Black, Greyson Chance, Maya Delilah, KUNZITE and Said The Sky.
OVERVIEW: Contribute to the roster curation and signings for Lowly and associated labels
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Conduct research to identify opportunities to sign in songs that are trending for distribution and recordings deals
Bring forward leads to catch opportunities early for development signings
Utilize relationships with Artist managers, producers, writers and industry sources to bring in signing and collaboration opportunities
Assemble proposed deal terms with illustration of projections and Artist overview information on each signing opportunity
Provide feedback on music from demos to completion
Orchestrate remix collaborations for a variety of projects, working collaboratively with internal team and Artist teams
Plot strategic cover songs from a deal opportunity perspective and across active projects, with oversight of the song creative process and management of deliverables
QUALIFICATIONS:
1-3 years experience in the music business in an A&R related function
Experience working with Artists and in creating collaborations
Track record for discovering and nurturing new Artists and a network of relationships within all levels of developing music
Ability to navigate and monitor social platforms such as TikTok, Instagram in order to identify trends and emerging Artist opportunities
Fluency in streaming analytics tools i.e. Chartmetric
Deep creative sensibility with strong knowledge of the music landscape
High accountability and follow through
Excellent networking, organizational, time management skills
Ability to collaborate and provide input into the release planning and marketing of releases
High level of integrity and work ethic; sharp communications skills and teamwork oriented
