    Job Description

    OVERVIEW

    We are looking to find individuals with exceptional Customer Service and Technical Support skills to join a rapidly growing team in a dynamic, supportive and fun team environment. This person is responsible for providing first level support for all incoming help desk calls via phone chat and email, supporting K-12 students in a Distance Learning environment. THIS IS A PART-TIME ROLE WITH HOURS FROM 8AM THROUGH 12NOON, MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY AND IS BASED IN HAUPPAUGE, NY.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Receives incoming support requests via phone, chat and email
    • Triage and create ticket in ticketing system
    • Monitor and follow up calls in help desk queue
    • Monitor and follow up calls in email queue
    • Provide resolution and assistance to standard operating systems
    • Provide resolution and assistance to standard supported applications: Google Classroom, Google Docs, MS Office, Chrome, Internet Explorer, Antivirus and other supported proprietary applications and systems.
    • Assign call tickets to related IT groups for further support

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Google certification a plus
    • A+ certification preferred
    • Network+ certification preferred
    • Mac OS support preferred
    • 1-2 years’ experience in a support role
    • Industry recognized Help Desk Certification and/or help desk environment experience a plus
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software problems
    • Knowledgeable on software installations, Antivirus and malware/spyware
    • Knowledge of the Internet, Google Docs and Microsoft Office
    • Flexibility with schedule is a requirement
    • Spanish speaker a plu
