We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our accounting team in a high volume, fast paced environment. This individual will be responsible for the day-to-day functions of the Accounts Receivable Department, with a primary focus on customer invoicing, customer account collections, credit investigations and posting of cash activity to the general ledger. The ideal candidate will be very organized and possess a strong attention to detail. The ideal candidate will also be a strong communicator and a team player. Responsibilities: * Assist with timely, accurate processing of customer invoices * Ensure compliance with company invoicing and credit policy * Communicate and follow-up with internal staff and manager regarding invoicing/credit issues and invoicing/credit policy * Accurate posting of customer payments to their accounts * Collection of delinquent customer accounts * Documenting collection call activity into Oracle Netsuite * Customer account maintenance * Performing credit checks and investigations on potential customers * Posting of banking activity to the general ledger on a daily basis * General administrative duties such as filing, processing credit card transactions and the handling of customer refunds * General customer service duties as it relates to Accounts Receivable * Special projects as required/assigned Qualifications: * Must have 2 to 5 years relevant Business experience * Associates Degree, major in Accounting preferred * Strong attention to detail, highly motivated, strong initiative * Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) * Proficient computer skills including Excel and Word * Netsuite experience a plus * General understanding of Accounting principles * Ability to multi task in a fast paced accounting environment Company Description Custom Computer Specialists is an award winning technology consulting firm headquartered on Long Island.
