    Business and Community Development Internship Duration: Spring 2019 (January-May) Compensation: School Credit, Membership Location: 50 Milk Street, Boston, MA Time: 20+ hours/week Position Duties & Description: Design Museum Foundation is seeking a Business and Community Development intern to assist in organizing development efforts. This position requires strong skills for database management, the ability to complete research for various opportunities, and excellent writing and interpersonal skills. Design Museum Foundation is a nomadic museum, meaning we dont have a single physical location we pop up all throughout the city with our events and exhibitions. This intern will assist in variety of duties such as prospective member research and identification, database management and reporting, and donor relations. Intern Responsibilities: Research organizations and individuals who would be interested in Design Museum Use data management tools (Mailchimp, Eventbrite, Kindful) to generate strategic development lists Manage data in our existing CRM (Kindful) Ability to solve problems, work independently and in groups Able to take feedback, willingness to learn new skills Experience necessary: Studying or interested in business, museums, and community Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills Experience with fundraising a plus Comfortable working on multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously Graphic design a plus! Knowledge of the following tools/processes: Familiar with Adobe CreativeSuite (in particular Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) Pages, Keynote, and Numbers Google Drive, Dropbox, Eventbrite, Mailchimp, Kindful (or other CRM) Qualified applicants will have/be: Their own computer Passion for design, education, and/or nonprofit arts administration Organized and detail oriented with good interpersonal & communication skills Familiarity of Mac OS, Adobe Creative Suite, spreadsheets, and email marketing tools Self-starter with a strong work ethic and attention to detail Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills Availability Requirements: Must be available at least 20 hours per week during Tuesday Friday , on-site at Design Museum Foundations office in Downtown Boston.
