    Multimedia Content Creation Intern Design Museum Portland - Portland, OR Internship Duration: Fall 2018 (September-December) Compensation: School Credit, Membership Location: The Pearl District Time: 15+ hours/week Position Duties & Description: Design Museum Portland seeks a Multimedia Content Creation intern to assist with capturing impactful, high-quality content in Portlands design community. This intern will manage guest content providers, capture photography and videography, and write for and design the blog. The intern will be responsible for coordinating and communicating with contributors, staff, and graphic designers to ensure content is delivered in a timely manner to meet deadlines and follows the Museums design standards. This intern will also assist in copy writing, editing and proofreading. Time management, organizational skills, and excellent reading/writing/editing skills are essential to this position. The intern should be a self-motivated and passionate person who loves storytelling and wants to gain publication experience. Intern Responsibilities: * Professional correspondence * Conduct interviews with event presenters, attendees, and partners to tell a story with multiple contributors * Manage and write for the Design Museum Portland Blog * Research impactful stories in Portland, reach out for contribution * Event Photography/Videography capture and editing capabilities * Assist with Portland contributions to Design Museum Magazine * Hands-on at events, able to lift 50 lbs * Ability to solve problems, work independently and in groups * Able to take feedback, willingness to learn new skills Experience necessary: * Strong writing and editing skills * Ability to create videos a plus * Event production experience, event management * Comfortable working on multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously * Ability to troubleshoot & solve problems on the spot! * Graphic design is a must! * Experience working with many different types of people! * Knowledge of the following tools/processes: * Familiar with Adobe Creative Suite (in particular Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) * Pages, Keynote, and Numbers * WordPress, Google Drive, Dropbox, Eventbrite, social media channels and tools, Mailchimp, Hootsuite Were looking for someone who: * Has their own computer * Is a self-starter, able to pick up parts of a project and contribute * Is a collaborator, able to fit into a team and boost its effectiveness * Is adaptable, able to pivot and move forward with new constraints * Is a planner, able to anticipate needs and put detailed plans in place for the future * Has photography or multimedia production experience to bolster our advertising efforts Availability Requirements: Must be available at least 15 hours per week during Tuesday Friday, on-site at Design Museum Portlands office in Pearl District.
