    Job Description

    Equinox is seeking a creative, disciplined, and strategic leader to join our People Services Team as the Head of Talent Acquisition. The Head of Talent Acquisition will be responsible for evaluating, developing, and implementing talent acquisition strategies at all levels (Executive, Corporate and Field) across the Equinox Group to ensure the Company has the right talent to support its short- and long-term business and growth strategies.  Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the successful candidate will be a transformative leader focused on driving innovation and operational efficiencies within the Talent Acquisition organization.  They will apply a blend of process improvement, data analytics, and strategy in their problem-solving to build operational excellence and scalability. They will forge strong relationships with cross-functional partners and earn the trust of business leaders at all levels by quickly solving problems, delivering on KPI’s, and creating new ways to attract and hire the best talent.

    The role is based at Equinox’s New York city headquarters located in Hudson Yards. Equinox currently has a hybrid work plan.

    THE RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develops and maintains a deep understanding of Equinox’s long and short-term business strategies and translates into effective talent acquisition priorities.
    • Leads and manages a fully integrated recruitment strategy and team of 20+ recruiters globally with an emphasis on talent pipeline to ensure current and future staffing requirements are consistently met.
    • Lead a fast paced/ high volume field hiring TA organization focused on attracting and hiring great talent while providing seamless candidate and hiring manager experiences.
    • Develops the processes and fosters a high level of candidate care & service during all stages of recruiting and afterwards to ensure best-in-class and inclusive candidate experiences.
    • Identifies and integrates the most critical internal and external insights combined with deep technical acumen, and knowledge of industry and functional area to coach hiring managers in talent decisions.
    • Understands and anticipates current market trends and key competitors for talent.
    • Utilizes a strategic, data-driven approach to measure success and inform strategies to fill open roles quickly, efficiently, and within budget.
    • Evaluates, enhances, and manages employer branding efforts to attract top talent and enrich candidate experience.
    • Maintains strategic relationships with external search partners and related vendors, ensuring there is an effective partnership resulting in the acquisition of exceptional executive talent.
    • Builds Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion strategies to attract the best candidates from wide-ranging talent pools and establishes relationships with relevant community groups, organizations, and universities to accomplish goals.
    • Maintains awareness of new regulations and implement policies and practices to ensure compliance.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    The successful candidate will be highly collaborative, working effectively and efficiently with all functions. They will be a tireless teacher and communicator, having extensive experience in people development, coaching, and mentoring. The successful candidate will be highly data-driven with a proven ability to build and foster strong relationships across the organization. The successful candidate is diplomatic and an effective influencer. The ideal candidate will have:

    • 10+ years of experience recruiting, preferably in a fast paced and high-growth Corporate and Field environment.
    • Minimum of 5 years of people leadership experience with proven success coaching and developing a high performing team.
    • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
    • A successful track record of recruiting for a variety of roles, levels, and functions (experience recruiting for executive roles required)
    • An entrepreneurial spirit who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident managing through ambiguity
    • A decisive and solution-oriented style and ready to state your case to hiring managers and senior leaders
    • Vast experience developing long term strategic sourcing strategies that utilize all available recruiting tools: leveraging applicant tracking systems, social media tools, career fairs, networking, community engagement, and direct sourcing methods.
    • An expert at maneuvering applicant tracking systems and leading vendor negotiations.  Experience/Expertise with Smart Recruiters, UKG-Ultipro (HRIS) and Greenhouse is a plus
    • Extraordinary communication (both written and verbal), influencing and negotiation skills are required, as is strong project management, analytical and critical thinking skills with thorough attention to detail
    • Proven ability to prioritize projects and meet deadlines.
    • Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
