    The General Manager is responsible for the general operations of the club. Member satisfaction, staff development and sales are the key focus areas of the position. The position requires dedication and discipline to achieve performance excellence. The General Manager works alongside the other department managers of the club to run achieve that excellence.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    Leadership/Management:

    Oversees and assumes responsibility for the general club operations including management of all Front Desk, Assistant Manager, Porters and Babysitting team members. Works with the department managers to achieve success for the entire club.

    Fully understands and adheres to the company’s Mission Statement, core values and overall culture of Fit Factory, leading by example and holding all team members accountable.

    Recruits, interviews and ultimately make the decision to hire new team members for the Front Desk and Babysitting teams.

    Effectively manage and communicate Policies and Procedures and make sure they are being adhered to.

    Authorizes and approves all staffing changes including new hires, promotions and terminations while maintaining the set forth standard budget.

    Schedule all front desk team members to ensure the club is staffed while staying within the parameters of the payroll budgets.

    Strives to continuously coach, motivate and develop all team members.

    Sales & Goals:

    Oversees the entire membership department to ensure that all KPI’s are met.

    Provides regular feedback to the Regional Manager to help understand and improve the club’s needs in order to achieve goals and KPI’s.

    Works with the Personal Training and Group Fitness department to ensure KPI’s are met.

    Communication:

    Communicates daily to the Regional Managers to provide an update of the club’s performance and status.

    Holds meetings with staff members on a weekly basis to provide feedback and development.

    Meets with the Fitness Director on a daily basis to provide support to the Personal Training team.

    Meets with the Assistant Manager on a daily basis to review the overall membership department production.

    Sends a daily summary report to the cleaning service team and Regional Managers that provides a cleanliness summary of the club.

    Meets with the in house cleaning team member(s) to discuss the overall cleanliness of the club and provide direction and feedback.

    Communicates with the Facilities Manager on a weekly or daily basis to report all club needs and issues pertaining to facilities and equipment.

    Club Management:

    Personally takes the lead and holds all club employees to the high standards that Fit Factory puts forth.

    Conducts detailed club inspections multiple times per day to ensure the maintenance standards are being met.

    Ensures all signage tv and marketing is current and up to date.

    Works to improve the club’s NPS score and quickly addresses any member concerns.

    Key Qualifications:

    Related Health Club experience in a leadership role

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Strong attention to detail

    Thrives in a customer focused environment

    Excellent Team-Work

    Education & Experience:

    A University degree or equivalent experience is required

    3 Years of leadership and people management of large cross-functional teams including proven success in leading, coaching and motivating teams to achieve goals and objectives in a consumer-facing service oriented environment

    Related industry experience required

    Physical Demands:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This role will require walking and standing during entire shift, or remain stationary for long periods of time. This would require the ability to lift weights, 5lbs up to 100lbs and bend or stand as necessary. This position will also require frequent washing of hands.

    Work Schedule and type:

    This is an exempt, full-time position with varied hours based on business needs. This position requires night and weekend hours.
