Group Fitness Program Manager
Fitness Connection is looking for a highly motivated Area Fitness Program Manager to join our team.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
Group Exercise
Create a well-balanced and effective Group Exercise program incorporating current trends in the industry/field
Management of the FITSENIOR programming and marketing
Management class performance and participation submitting class counts by the 4th of each month
Management and oversight of fee based programs
Recruit, audition, hire, train and manage all Group Exercise staff
Evaluate each instructor and ensure that all certifications are up-to-date
Communicate staff evaluations, disciplinary action and other matters to Regional Fitness Program Director and the club’s General Manager
Submit monthly Group Exercise schedules to Regional Fitness Program Director, General Manager and social media managers in approved corporate format in addition to updating the Mobile APP on a frequent basis or as needed with any changes.
Promote the Group Exercise and fee Programs by coordinating and attending special events with the General Manager and Regional Fitness Program Director
Facilitate quarterly Group Exercise staff meetings and/or recorded conference calls
Coordinate equipment repair with Facility Maintenance and General Manager, keeping records of lost, stolen and broken equipment
Train Group Exercise Staff on proper usage and storage of equipment and sound system operation
Assist Group Exercise staff in tracking program participation and submit monthly tracking report to Regional Fitness Program Manager
Ensure instructors are keeping Group Exercise studios organized, clean, safe and presentable
Adhere to corporate pay policies and procedures and review monthly payroll budget
Model and promote Fitness Connection’s Mission and Values by motivating and supporting club team while always ensuring member satisfaction
Create opportunities to grow member count through high quality interactions and programs designed to drive overall member engagement
Create a positive, team-oriented work environment by motivating and inspiring associates to achieve their best and continue to serve as role model for others
Act as primary point of quality control of Group Exercise department for assigned club location(s)
Ensure roll out of new formats, programs and procedures are effectively, positively and promptly communicated to Group Exercise Staff and General Manager
Duties include those of the Group Exercise Instructor as well
Payroll Management
Monitoring of Group Exercise hours, classes, and sessions
Prepare and submit payroll in a timely manner
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience
Minimum of six months of proven success at the Group Exercise Instructor level within Fitness Connection or related industry experience
Complete knowledge of and adherence to Group Exercise policies and procedures
High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
Corporate approved current national Group Exercise staff certification
Instructors having a specialized skill such as Yoga, Pilates, etc. must provide verifiable proof of education
Current CPR certification and basic first aid training is required
