Job SummaryThe Fitness Director is responsible for the overall revenue, profitability and customer experience of an assigned Ultra Body Fitness location. The Fitness Director directly supervises Personal Trainers and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance DVP.
Primary Functions•
Execute and drive sales of personal training
Generate and maintain recurring sales
Provide solutions to mitigate profitability loss
Train, develop, and motivate staff
Recruit new employees to fill any job openings
Provide a pipeline of candidates and provide a succession plan
Provide excellent customer service and communication to clients, vendors, corporate office, and gym partners
Manage customer experience
Recruit gym members
Review Personal Training Options and Finalize the sale of Personal Training
Generate leads to gain new clientele
Inform Fitness Director of any/all customer service issues
Assess client's fitness goals and limitations
Develop personalized exercise programs that meet the clients' changing needs and goals while tracking individual progress
Motivate and teach clients how to improve their fitness, strength or physique
Provide feedback on correct technique and performance levels
Provide a safe and healthy fitness experience and be prepared to respond to emergency situations
Continue to record and monitor health, weight, fitness, and strength so that they can constantly adjust programs to challenge the client.
Maintain PT knowledge and certification, and be knowledgeable about current fitness trends and research
Other duties as assigned in the contractor employee agreement
Secondary Functions
· Perform administrative duties including audits, paperwork submittal, time sheets, contracts, and new hire paperwork
Produce special events, educational seminars, and promotional activities to generate sales, employee development, and community activity
Resolve customer service and employee relations issues, partnering with appropriate parties for resolution
Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements
Sales and management experience required.
Experience in the fitness industry
Must be able to work early mornings and evenings, and Saturday mornings
College degree in fitness related field with practical work
Current Personal Training certification in an approved Personal Training program
Current CPR/AED certification
Strong communication and listening skills
Strong customer service skills
Ability to drive, meet and exceed monthly goals and customer expectations
Ability to demonstrate the proper use of equipment
Demonstrate a positive attitude
Strong computer skills
Must have a high level of knowledge on Anatomy and Physiology (A&P)
Ability to maintain a professional attitude
High School Diploma or GED required
Physical Conditions:
Position requires walking, running, sitting, lifting, bending, squatting, reaching
Lifting and re-racking weights of at least 75 lbs.
Demonstrating exercises to clients and “spotting” clients to assure safety
