    Job Summary:

    The primary purpose of this position is to perform computer operations duties and to monitor, maintain and operate computer

    systems and related peripheral devices in a 24/7 Date Center operation. Additional duties include, but are not limited to: creating, maintaining

    and updating documentation, performing daily and nightly draw processing and performing additional tasks as assigned by the Data Center

    Operations Manager.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    The following duties are normal for this job. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

    Note: This is primarily a Day Shift position. Flexibility and a willingness to adjust work days or hours, as needed, to ensure 24/7 staffing

    coverage is required and includes nights, weekends and holidays.

    Support, maintain, organize and direct computer operations of the GLC primary and backup data centers.

    Backup to the Data Center Manager position.

    Supervise, schedule and direct data processing operational staff during critical processing periods.

    Ability to work well under pressure to achieve expected results during critical draw and ICS processing periods.

    Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.

    Must have the ability to adapt to change in processes, procedures and tasks.

    Ability to work independently as well as contribute positively within a team environment.

    Monitors and executes production processing to assure accuracy and timely completion of work load.

    Monitors the entire GLC network to ensure proper performance. Execute defined procedures for event escalation.

    Troubleshoots and reports production processing problems to appropriate personnel for resolution.

    Compares and documents ICS and IGT production processing results.

    Knowledge of basic mathematical and statistical methods and procedures as applied to computer operations.

    Supports the IT Help Desk during non-online game drawing timeframes, as needed.

    Performs testing of upgrades or modifications to system, network, software and ICS as needed.

    Ability to think logically, to comprehend complex system requirements and the principles of programming, and to apply these principles in operation of the GLC computer systems and network.

    Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

    High School Diploma (or GED) required, (Associate's Degree in Data Processing preferred) with three or more years of data processing, help desk and operational experience with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Active Directory, Microsoft Windows operating system, some exposure to Windows Operating System, virtual servers, Citrix, and use of help desk tools and processes. Supervisory experience in data processing operations and related activities desired. Excellent customer service skills required. Also requires the ability to lift and carry moderately heavy (up to 50 lbs.) materials and supplies. Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job may be considered.
