    Job Summary

    The purpose of this job is to improve process and outcome of project delivery to internal and external customers. The Business Analyst will focus on requirement gathering and documenting, data modeling, creating use cases, effectively ensuring that the best solution is created for all software and technology projects and analysis of business needs and GLC technology options. Position is responsible for improvements in project requirements and ensuring that requirements are suitable for distinct audiences.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    The following duties are normal for this job. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

    Lead the gathering and development process of writing business requirements for technology/software requirements.

    Elicit internal requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, use cases, scenarios, tasks, and workflow analysis.

    Participate in both planning and implementation of technology projects. May participate in other phases of the project (for example design and/or testing phases).

    Review requirements from vendors and provide feedback on improvements to process and content.

    Utilize business modeling techniques, 'mapping' and 'workflow,' to enable understanding, analysis and positive change.

    Perform data modeling to ensure proper hand-off to development.

    Develop and maintain project scope documents.

    Responsible for improvements in project requirements and ensuring that requirements are suitable for various audiences.

    Ensure change requests and issues are tracked, reported on, and resolved in a timely manner.

    Assist IT in writing functional specifications and system design specifications as needed.

    Conducts and presents gap analysis findings to stakeholders.

    Solid experience with application lifecycle management tools such as Jira or Rally.

    Minimum Training and Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions

    · Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or Information Systems is required.

    · 2-5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst supporting varying degrees of software development lifecycles.

    · 1-3 years of experience working with JIRA, knowledge and use.

    · 1 years of project experience in different business units (for example, finance, web design, and information technology) is preferred.

    · Expertise in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

    · Basic knowledge of Microsoft Project and working knowledge of the Principles of Professional Business Analysis software such as Jira are desired.

    · Minimum 3 years’ experience eliciting requirements and developing them into detailed software/technical requirements.

    · Skilled in working with interactive sprint software release schedules/nightly desired.

    · Experience with Waterfall/Agile methodology, Stakeholder analysis, SQL, and Business process modeling.

    · Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
