SUMMARY: This position is responsible to participate in the preparation, production and maintenance of host costumes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

• Ability to learn costume production (creating, constructing, fitting, organizing, and transporting the costumes to and from storage).
• Organizing, and transporting the costumes to and from storage.
• Measure, alter, and issue costumes to hosts in a timely manner.
• Assist with customer service needs such as working the front desk and attending to needs of hosts.
• Assist with cleaning and pressing costumes using washers and dryers, electric iron and or steamer.
• Ability to operate sewing machines, sergers and other sewing machinery as needed.
• Ability to repair costumes by hand or by the use of a sewing machine.
• Stock shelves with rolls and bolts of fabric.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays – may work alone and as a team.  
• Interacts with fellow hosts, leadership, vendors and suppliers while maintaining a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Keeps work area clean and maintains cleanliness of shop.
• Maintains organization of forms and documents, handles cash and records information accurately.
• Ensures compliance with all authorized operator requirements and safety procedures specific to the job assignment.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:  Previous experience sewing, reading pattern instructions and altering garments preferred.  Experience with computers and data input preferred.  Sewing skills and knowledge of using and caring for different machines used in constructing a costume or costume items preferred.
