    This is a Part-time Seasonal position with evening hours from 10/29/23 to 12/30/23.

    Summary: Celebrate Christmas by being a part of Rudolph’s Holly Jolly™ Christmas Parade, an evening musical light parade containing nine floats and 33 colorful costumed characters! Characters will walk two parade routes per night, together equaling over 3 miles. We are looking for outgoing applicants that have no problem interacting with the crowd. Most positions do require you to wear a full-body costume covering even your head.

    Must be at least 16 years of age.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned)

    • Impersonate or portray a character, either serious or comic, by speech, gesture, song, and/or dance.
    • May use props and costumes to help communicate the character to be portrayed.
    • Outwardly and obviously friendly, caring, and interactive with guests while maintaining high levels of energy and enthusiasm.
    • Most often perform as a group, although may be selected to perform solo or with a partner.
    • Rehearsals and blocking may be developed at the discretion of the Director or designated person.
    • Responsible for doing own hair and make-up.

    Required Skills

    Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.     • Able to communicate efficiently

    Physical Requirements:

    • The ability to lift and/or move 10 pounds frequently to 100 pounds maximum
    • The ability to work in cramped quarters continuously
    • The ability to stand and walk on uneven terrain, inclines, asphalt, and concrete continuously
    • The ability to perform choreographed actions related to performing continuously
    • The ability to remember locations, understand and carry out instructions continuously
    • The ability to work in extreme weather frequently
    • The ability to work at a rapid speed continuously

    Required Experience

    • One to three months of dance experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
