The Role: House of Blues Entertainment is looking for an intern to join our Touring Department for the Ones To Watch platform. Responsibilities: * Research, attend local shows, and pitch emerging artists/bands to be featured on the sites * Track and regularly update Ones To Watch artist pages with new content and releases * Consistently update Spotify accounts with new playlists and artists * Write song reviews, album reviews, & artist features. * Retrieve artist marketing assets (Images, video, music, content, etc). * Coordinate Social Media efforts including creating platform-specific copy, creating assets, and posting on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, & Tumblr * Stay up to date with emerging artists, pop culture news, and trends in media/technology * Come up with new & creative ideas to feature emerging artists in an engaging way. Qualifications: * High proficiency in written and verbal communications music-related writing samples are required. * High proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint * Basic understanding of the principles of marketing and advertising, as well as an understanding of media concepts and terms, creative and budget requirements * Thorough understanding of the social media space and those who engage with it (FB, TW, IG, Snapchat) * Student (Undergraduate/Graduate) *must provide proof of academic credit for the duration of the internship * Passionate about music and artists, particularly A&R and talent discovery If the above description sounds like you and fits your background, apply online at http://www.livenation.com/careers/index.html to join the Live Nation Entertainment team today!
