As a House of Blues Clubs & Theaters Veteran Apprentice - Production, you will report in to our Vice President of Production based at our home office, to learn all aspects of our production environment including contracts, administration and venue production. Responsibilities: Essential Functions: * Learn about a career in production and support the VP of Production in providing a positive and creative environment for the Production department and venues * Gain understanding of all aspects of Production from planning, set-up, technical, live implementation, venue show flash (P&L) for events, as well as the budgeting and tracking financial aspects of department. * Education on deal structure and the show settlement process. * Assist with department manuals and training materials for all production positions * Exposure to inventory and maintenance logs and daily/weekly show schedules * Venue education: * Learn how a venue Production Manager schedules appropriate number of staff while maintaining labor costs within the assigned budgetary guidelines, facilitates and maintains communication and organization, manages the stage, sound and lighting crews. * Learn how to advance technical and Hospitality details for shows/events along with the Production Manager. maintenance of audio, lighting, backline, video systems advising on repairs when needed. * Gain understanding of how Production Coordinators maintain safe and consistent operation of all equipment, as well as keeping a detailed and thorough system of all past show files on the shared drive and maintaining accurate vendor records Job Requirements: Minimum Requirements: * Desire to learn about a career in production * Project Management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously * Prior service in any branch of the U.S. Military * Calm / Professional and customer service oriented * Contracts and invoice review * Sound judgment and ability to problem solve; sometimes with limited information * Computer literate in Windows applications. (Excel and Word a must) * Must possess superior interpersonal communication and organizational skills * Ability to commit to a year-long apprentice program * Ability and willingness to relocate for business needs and opportunity.
