Accounting Coordinator Job Locations US-NH-Lincoln Posted Date 1 day ago(1 day ago) Requisition ID 2018-3999 # of Openings 1 Resort Loon Mountain Position Type Full-Time Year Round Season Not Applicable Targeted Job Start Date 8/27/2018 Category Accounting Overview The General Accountant maintains processes and templates used for reporting and other tasks and ensures all related documentation is up to date; ensures timely and accurate periodic production of reports; consolidates and confirms all statistical reporting; responsible for preparing and posting various entries to the General Ledger. This position provides support for all Accounting team members as needed and will be cross trained on various accounting functions of the department. Work schedule will include some weekends and holidays. As a customer focused organization, a crucial part of each employeersquo;s job is to get and keep guests. Responsibilities Responsible for the daily review of bank account activity and reporting cash position to corporate office. Responsible for transmitting check positive pay and ACH files to the bank. Prepares journal entries and reconciles general ledger and subsidiary accounts. Responsible for specific tasks associated with the monthly closing process relating to revenue, expenses and accruals, including, but not limited to prepaid expenses, deferred revenue, etc. Responsible for compiling, issuing and distributing weekly and monthly management and supervisor reports. Responsible for analyzing significant budget to actual variances across all departments. Provides ad hoc analytics to Controller and Senior Management team as required. Oversees Loon Mountain Real Estate accounts. Prepares all agent commission payments and annual 1099 tax forms, posts journal entries, etc. Balances all cash accounts weekly or monthly where appropriate. Files monthly State of New Hampshire Rooms amp; Meals Tax. Prepares reports to track capital project progress Reviews and adjusts all inventory accounts Calculates and accrues United States Forest Service land use fee. Annual preparation of the NSAA Survey, Kottke Survey and various other ski area association surveys. Assists in preparation of annual budget and year end audit preparation and reporting. Qualifications Bachelorrsquo;s degree preferred, minimum of Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; two to four years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. A thorough understanding of the accounting cycle including the relationship between balance sheet and income statement accounts is pertinent. A strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required. Experience with Infinium, RTP and Microsoft Dynamics NAV is extremely helpful. Cash handling experience is a plus.
