    Development Events and Communications Coordinator Location: Lincoln, MA Sanctuary: Lincoln Headquarters Reporting to the Development Director, Statewide Initiatives, the Development Events and Communications Coordinator will be an integral part of the Mass Audubon fundraising team. This person will provide support to Development Directors and Sanctuary Directors across the state to successfully implement special events and member/donor outreach materials pieces to further donor relationships with Mass Audubon. Responsibilities Manage Mass Audubons annual statewide fundraiser, Bird-a-thon. Tasks include the development of materials, coordination of and outreach to team leaders across the state, working with IT and Marketing departments for publicity, management of the peer-to-peer giving platform, and income monitoring. Design and implement sanctuary and program fundraising communication materials, including direct mailings, case statements, brochures, annual reports and other special projects. Ensure adherence to Mass Audubons branding standards in these and other development-related communications devices. Manage logistics and attend select fundraising and donor stewardship events across the state. Tasks will vary by event, and may include invitation design, guest list development, catering arrangements, attendee tracking, and budgeting. Serve as internal resource for event standards and best practices, and work closely with Development Directors and sanctuary/program staff to develop and run events that engage donors and members. Monitor all Mass Audubon fundraising web pages, ensuring they are current and accurate. Update and enter donor data into Philanthropy database that relates to events, donor interactions, and account updates. Qualifications B.A./B.S. degree or higher. A minimum of 3 years of fundraising and/or event planning experience. Ability to relate well to staff, donors, and volunteers and handle confidential information with discretion. Proven ability to handle multiple responsibilities and prioritize work independently a must. Strong analytical, planning, and organizational abilities. Experience using a variety of software, including Word, Outlook, Excel, InDesign, and Photoshop. Strong verbal communication skills; proven ability to write clearly and persuasively. Ability to communicate Mass Audubons mission and work with passion and conviction. Familiarity with membership and fundraising databases. Willingness and ability to travel on ones own within New England. Willingness to work occasional weekends and evenings. Ability to relate to a diverse range of people and exercise cultural competence and inclusion. Employment requires successful completion of CORI and SORI and drivers record checks.
