    JOB SUMMARY

    This role manages the consumer marketing within the destination theme park model and marketing cooperatives for the Dollywood Company. 

     

    SUMMARY OF MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Serve as the owner of the day-to-day management of the Destination Marketing program, including liaising with the Corp Director of Destination Marketing and PSC and/or coop partners with advertising, public retail partners, digital and email campaigns as well as key liaison to all internal operations teams
    • Write yearly action plan to support annual sales growth and establish program content, price deadlines and program “hooks.” Work with IT, Digital team, Admissions and Call Center to coordinate and roll out program logistics and materials
    • Monitor performance and trends for all selected destination and growth market activities and specifically flex ticketing performance, analyze pricing and revenue opportunities, execute programmatic and communication elements and assist in daily/weekly tracking of projections
    • Use and/or acquire CRM data to analyze and understand destination customers to tailor marketing efforts and develop content for email, web and CRM efforts that drives revenue with existing customers and acquisition of new prospects
    • Oversee annual plan for destintation and growth market consumer-demand, working with the Guest Engagement Marketing Manager in the development of public promotional partnerships, possible ticket card partners, communication (POS, in park, copy points, advertising tags), co-marketing and media opportunities, contracts and proposals).
    • Monitor the business performance of all consumer-demand ticket categories from destination and growth markets including regular admission, discount/promotion and multi-day and provide daily/weekly recommendations to Consumer Marketing Director and Corporate Director of Destination Marketing for reacting to business trends
    • Monitor weekly Daily Guest Survey results and provide insights/trends worth reacting to
    • Investigate and/or identify new programs to drive incremental admissions revenue and attendance (e.g., ticket cards, ticket packages, online offers, etc.)
    • Assist the Director of Consumer Demand in the development of annual strategic plans and programs.
    • Provide top line trends and forecasts as it relates to market activity, competitive activity and economic conditions and share Dollywood Company consumer insights with hospitality division
    • Accountable for day-to-day management of the destination marketing budget and delivering to forecast each period.
    • Continue to assess the consumer marketing landscape to identify, vet and incorporate new trends, opportunities and channels to advance the business performance and guest experience

    Required Experience

    EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 

    • Bachelor’s degree, required; marketing, communications, preferred.
    • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in marketing; experience in a DMO, CVB, theme parks, gated attractions, entertainment industries, advertising, agency preferred. A minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
    • Proven track record of supervising, managing and training employee(s); planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
    • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
    • Proven experience with written reports, document procedures, business correspondence, and internal manuals.
    • Proven experience with common office software and ticketing systems such as Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet, OMNI or other comparable ticketing software.
